Gaffe in NY with French flag

- In an effort to show solidarity with the Belgians wanted the US state of New York's One World Trade Center, better known as the Freedom Tower, shrouded in the Belgian colors. Upon ignition of the lights, the tower was not black-yellow-red color, but red, white and blue, the tricolor of France.

Governor Andrew Cuomo had announced on Twitter that the building would be lit in solidarity with the colors of the Belgian flag. On helicopter images of the American media, however, NBC's clear to see that the mast of the tower has the colors of the Belgian southern neighbors.
