Fugitive ex-president appears in US

- The fugitive former Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli on Friday attended a football game in the United States.

The former head of state welcomed the national team of his country, which played in the Copa América against Argentina. Shortly before it was announced that Panama will ask the US to extradite Martinelli. The ex-president would have let illegal eavesdropping during his tenure (2009-2014) political opponents, journalists and entrepreneurs.
