From the 'Killer Mountain' rescued climber: I had to leave behind a partner

- Without oxygen and without sherpa's the over 8100 meters high mountain Nanga Parbat: the French Elisabeth Revols is the only woman ever succeeded. Still, the climber looks back on a hellish descent, leaving her partner behind for death. He has never returned. Elisabeth, too, was badly battered from the very dangerous mountain by rescue workers.

Climbing started well over a week ago, says Elisabeth in her first interview with AFP news agency. She and her Polish climbing partner Tomasz Mackiewicz reached the summit and felt well. They posted a happy picture on Facebook:
