vienna - The infamous Austrian incarcer Josef Fritzl, who had locked his daughter for decades in a secret cellar under his house and raised seven children with her, could possibly have another secret shelter. That says the current tenant of the building against Austrian media.

Fritzl ran a restaurant in the town of Unterach, not far from Salzburg between 1973 and 1996. During that time, the building went up twice in flames. During the rebuilding, strange changes would have been made.

The restaurant was closed a few years ago because it did not have the right papers. The new tenant, Helmut Lang, wants to reopen it and therefore approved the building. 'Everywhere are hollow spaces behind the walls,' said Lang. Behind the wall of one of the rooms is a hallway that does not seem to be moving.

Fritzl's incest came to light in 2008. Three of the seven children grew up underground. Three other children were taken up by Fritzl, secretly laid for the front door, 'spontaneously' found and adopted by him and his wife. A seventh child died shortly after birth. Fritzl was sentenced to life. In prison, Fritzl changed his last name to Mayrhoff.
