Freedom for rare white orangutan

yallingup - The supposedly only white orangutan in the world is released into the wild on Borneo. The approximately 7-year-old animal was discovered last year in a remote village.

Alba was neglected and locked up in a small wooden cage. The extremely rare animal was taken to a shelter on Borneo where it could strengthen. The experts now find it time that the animal can live in freedom again.

Alba is therefore released this week in the national park Bukit Baka Bukit Raya on the Indonesian part of Borneo.
