bordeaux - The French authorities seized a plane from the budget airline Ryanair at Bordeaux airport. The aircraft was about to leave 149 passengers on board Thursday to London.
The civil aviation authority says it is regrettable that the aircraft was to be kept on the ground as a 'last resort'. The measure is the result of a conflict over subsidy received by the Irish airline and which later proved to be illegal. Ryanair would repeatedly have been ordered to repay the money.
