- France expects this year a historically low yield of the grape harvest. By spring frosts, wine plants throughout the country had a good bite, which estimated that the yield would be 17 percent lower than last year.

The expectation came from the Ministry of Agriculture, according to French media Sunday. Almost all wine areas are affected. In some places it was six degrees below zero during the morning while the plants had already run out. The Ministry expects the harvest to be the smallest in the past 36 years this year.
