wiesbaden - The German justice arrested fourteen people in the case around the child porn platform Elysium. Twelve of them are suspected of sexual abuse with children, the German public prosecutor reported on Friday at a press conference. One of the suspects, a 28-year-old man from Austria, would have offered his own children on the forum.
Elysium had 87,000 members worldwide, speaking in five different languages in chatrooms. The German OM announced the roll-up of the platform on Thursday.
Due to the international nature of the case, Europol's assistance was called for. The international police organization worked in conjunction with the New Zealand, Italian and Australian police. Europol expects to carry out more arrests in and outside Europe in the short term.
