Former President Bush (93) from the hospital

houston - Former US President George H.W. Bush left the hospital after almost two weeks. The 93-year-old Bush was treated to a blood poisoning after an infection. According to his doctors, he makes it well and is happy to be allowed back home, says spokesperson for the Jim McGrath family in a statement.

The 41st President of the United States was hospitalized in Houston the day after the funeral of his wife Barbara. A few days later he was allowed to leave the intensive care unit.

Bush is the oldest living American president. He was in the White House from 1989 to 1993 and is the father of George W. Bush, who later followed in his footsteps. The younger Bush was president from 2001 to 2009.
