'Flash Commerce builds faster data network '

- The Dutch flash traders Optiver and IMC working on a new faster network for data transport.

The network of submarine cables, fiber and towers will be between Chicao and Tokyo. The investment demonstrates the importance of attracting high-frequency trading in Asian markets.

This was reported Bloomberg citing sources at talks in the joint venture Go West several companies, including Virtu, Jump Trading, KCGHoldings, Tower, XR and DRW.

With Go West, the parties reduce the construction costs of the network for all high frequency traders that should provide a level playing field.

The arbitrage trading with heavy computer speculates on the difference in prices in a fraction of a millisecond to buy and sell worldwide. Dutch companies are already longer leading the development of high-frequency trading.
