First execution of 2018 carried out in Texas

austin - The first death sentence of this year was carried out in the American state of Texas. Anthony Shore (55) was executed by a lethal injection in prison in Huntsville.

Shore was sentenced to death after he was found guilty of raping and murdering 5 girls and a young woman in the 80s and 90s. He was nicknamed the tourniquet killer because he strangled the women with a tourniquet, a band with which veins being pinched off to stop bleeding.
