Final: German toll roads

berlin - Dutch go groping definitively into their pockets for the use of German motorways. The German government on Wednesday agreed to a new tolwet. The toll is controversial because motorists from neighboring countries, including the Netherlands therefore, have to pay for the highways while German road users recover the money through taxes.

Motorists have to pay from 2019 toll on German motorways. The amount of the toll is between 2.50 and 25 euros. The German Government through the levy is expected to annually 524 million credited to the account.

The German parliament must still approve the Cabinet decision. Wednesday's neighbors Germany are informed in Brussels about the decision. The law is the German Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt adjusted to EU requirements.

The Austrian Transport Minister has angrily reacted to the German decision. From the Netherlands is not entered comments yet. The ANWB had in December 2016 to have been said against the introduction of the German toll.
