Fierce protests in Nantes against Le Pen

nantes - In the center of the French city of Nantes demonstrations Saturday afternoon against Marine Le Pen led to violent riots. According to French media, there were about 2,000 to 3,000 demonstrators in the leg. Storefronts were pelted with paint bombs and missiles. The police dropped tear gas to disperse the rioters.

The protesters demanded that Le Pen cancels her visit to Nantes Sunday. Seven officers were injured, four demonstrators were arrested.
