Festival goers stuck in a whirligig

antwerp - It was a bit of a shock for about twenty visitors to the Laundry Day music festival in Antwerp. Due to a technical defect they suddenly found themselves at a high altitude in a whirligig on the festival site.

The fire brigade had to come to the spot to get the festival goers out of the seats. They were lucky, because the defect arose at 'only' twenty meters, while the mill goes up to sixty meters.

The fire brigade took an hour to free the festival-goers from the seats. This with the help of a ladder truck. 'None of the visitors had medical complaints, although some had to go to the toilet quickly', the organizer told Flemish media.

At the festival with eight stages saturday afternoon about 16. 000 people. Nobody is allowed to stay in the whirligig.
