'Father' of R2-D2 deceased

valetta - Professor Tony Dyson, the British who built the famous robot R2-D2 from the Star Wars movie, is at the age of 68 at his home in Malta deceased. The police discovered his body after a worried phone call from a neighbor.

Police said Friday no indication to include the existence of a crime, but let it perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Dyson worked frequently for the film. So he worked part in Superman II, Moonraker and Dragonslayer. The design of R2-D2 was Ralph McQuarrie. Dyson built eight.
