santa rosa - The California fire department seems to be slowing down the tremendous natural fires north of San Francisco. The fire has already killed 40 people in the past week and hundreds of people are still missing.
Monday is the wind is going to lie down. Two of the three biggest fires have already been sheltered by half. Some residents of the heavily-troubled Sonoma County may return home on Monday.
A week ago, there were more than 10 fires that have already destroyed an area larger than New York City. More than 5700 buildings are damaged and all of the neighborhoods in the city of Santa Rosa are burned.
