berlin - Migrants in Libyan camps face torture or kill the danger, or they are in some other way exposed to human rights violations. This is contained in a report by the German Embassy in Niger, reports Welt am Sonntag. The report comes on the eve of a European summit in Malta on the situation in the North African country.
'Authentic photos and videos made with mobile phones show concentration camp-like conditions in privégevangenissen run by smugglers,' said the embassy. 'Executions of migrants, torture, rape, bribery and banishment to the wilderness among the daily practices. '
Eyewitnesses speak of five killings per week in one of the prisons and always on Fridays, to make place for new migrants.
