Ex-minister Tillerson denies the truth

washington - Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned in a speech for students of a school in Lexington for 'an increasing crisis in ethics and integrity' in American public life.

'If our leaders try to disguise the truth or if we as a people accept alternative realities that are no longer based on facts, then as American citizens we are on our way to give up our liberties,' said the ex-minister in March was fired by President Donald Trump. Tillerson did not mention the president in his speech.

'If we do not denounce the crisis in ethics and integrity in our society- and our leaders in both the public and private sectors and even in the non-profit sector- then American democracy will end up in its wake', Tillerson warned.
