pahoa - The volcano Kilauea on the island of Hawaii has erupted. Because lava has flowed into the residential areas, about ten thousand inhabitants of the village of Puna have been evacuated, authorities have informed us.
The eruption of the volcano was the result of a series of earthquakes on the island in recent days.
