Europe sent 894 refugees to Turkey

athens - Frontex, the European agency for the management of external borders, has since April last year, 894 refugees and migrants sent back to Turkey. These are people who stayed on islands in the Aegean Sea.

In April 2016 joined the Turkish European Convention on returning migrants into force. These are refugees who travel to Europe illegally from Turkey. Get these migrants asylum, they can be returned. Greece signed already in 2001 with Turkey, a bilateral agreement on the return of refugees. As part of that scheme are returned again in 1196 people in the last fourteen months.
