washington - Europe and the United States are far from compromising on Washington's position on the nuclear deal with Iran. The German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said this in Washington on Wednesday after an interview with his American colleague Mike Pompeo.

According to the German minister, only well-known arguments have been exchanged. 'I think we are far from compromising,' he said, but Maas agreed to a meeting between the foreign ministers of the United States, Great Britain, France and Germany to discuss the Iran deal.

US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that his country is canceling the nuclear deal with Iran in 2015 and is again setting economic sanctions against the country. Minister Pompeo this week put twelve demands on Iran and said that the sanctions are only lit if Washington sees tangible shifts in Iranian policy.
