EU makes hundreds of refugee boats disable

- The naval vessels that have been disabled so far over a hundred refugees boats operating on behalf of the EU in the Mediterranean in the fight against human trafficking, mainly from Libya. That the German government announced Wednesday in response to questions of the political party Die Linke. It involves about 85 inflatable boats and eighteen wooden ones.

Since the EU mission 'Sophia' began last year, 69 smugglers arrested. According to Italian news agency Ansa nevertheless only last week more than seventy, often unseaworthy boats with migrants crossing ventured from the North African coast. That probably has more than a thousand people killed.
