brussels - The European Commission is making 500 million euros available to Ukraine to promote economic stability and structural reforms in the country. According to Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis, the country needs 'a show of solidarity from its international partners' at a 'crucial time when Ukraine is faced with new Russian aggression.'
With this half-billion since the crisis in 2014, the EU has already invested 3.3 billion euros in so-called assistance programs to bring more prosperity and stability. The payouts are linked to different conditions. For example, the fight against corruption must be stepped up.
