World June 17, 2016 14:30

brussels - European sanctions against the Crimea maintained. The European Union decided Friday to extend the sanctions because of its annexation by Russia a year.

Goods from the Ukrainian peninsula are not welcome in the EU and Europeans and EU companies can not invest there. Also, European cruise may not call at ports on the peninsula on the Black Sea, except in emergencies. Export is limited.

Russia annexed the Ukrainian peninsula in 2014. The European Union does not recognize it. The sanctions against Russia run off the end of this month. It is expected that the EU will soon renew it, since Russia does not comply with the Minsk peace agreement.
