EU countries not collapse migration fund

brussels - Twelve EU Member States have not yet contributed to the fund set up to improve the situation and refugees in Turkish camps. Said Wednesday an initial assessment of the progress of the migration pact that the EU concluded with Turkey to the migration issue to cope.

The European Commission urged EU Member States to fulfill their pledges as soon as possible and deliver. They are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain.

The Migration Fund which this year 3 billion has been made available for, is intended for projects to improve the living conditions of mostly Syrian refugees in Turkish camps. Then think of better education, food and health care. So far, the fund counter at 2.6 billion euros.

Another part of the EU-Turkey migration pact returning migrants illegally from Turkey to cross over to Greek islands. Since the measures on 4 April came into force, there are divided returned two days 325 migrants.

Meanwhile, the growing group of migrants stuck on Greek islands, pending their return or the processing of their asylum application. EU countries have pledged to help here, but not all promises have been realized. This concerns for example to control the number of translators to assist the Greeks.
