london - Dutch people living in Great Britain do not have to fear that they will be expelled from the country when the Brexit finally comes into effect. That is what the British minister David Davis promises during a press conference.

Even in the case of a 'hard Brexit', an exodus from the United Kingdom from the European Union without agreement on the conditions, Davis promises that EU passport holders will not be expelled. 'We will not expel people under any circumstances. 'Exceptions apply to criminals and threats to the country,' says Davis.

It is estimated that approximately 3.7 million EU citizens live in the United Kingdom. According to the Dutch embassy it would be 100,000 to 150,000 Dutch people.
