colombo - The Sri Lankan Coast Guard rescued two young elephants from the sea on Sunday. The rescue services had to come into action two weeks ago to get an elephant out of the water.
It was a good job to get the animals dry. There had to be divers of the army, ropes and countless boats in order to safeguard the wild beasts.
Photos and videos of the animals show how the stricken elephants can hardly reach their slurries over water in the deep sea, about half a kilometer from the coast. The animals make it good again.
