Eichmann found himself just one instrument

jerusalem - Adolf Eichmann considered himself innocent. In a handwritten letter to then Israeli president Yitzhak Ben-Zvi asked the man who organized the transports of Jews to the death camps for clemency.

Eichmann wrote that he had not been a leader with responsibility and thus not guilty, according to Israeli media Wednesday. Two days later, on May 31, 1962, former SS man was hanged for war crimes.

The letter in question is Wednesday in Israel published by the current president, Reuven Rivlin. This takes place on the occasion of the International Holocaust remembrance day. The unique document was signed 'Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, May 29, 1962.
