Egypt army 'kills IS leader Sinai'

- The Egyptian army has slain leader of Islamic State in Sinai. An air strike near the northern city of al-Arish was Abu Duaa al-Ansari fatal, told the government army.

Except al-Ansari came 45 of his men, said the Egyptian armed forces. Arsenals weapon and ammunition depots of the local branch of IS would be destroyed. The IS-branch in the Sinai has not yet responded to the allegations by Egypt.

The Egyptian army has been fighting for years against extremist fighters in the rugged Sinai desert. Some time ago, swore the rebels, who since the coup by former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi more frequent stirring, allegiance to IS.
