Eagles of Death Metal singer: give everyone weapons

- If everyone carry weapons, the massacre at the Bataclan would never have occurred. That is the belief of Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes.

Hughes does not think the strict gun laws in France were a cause for the terrorist attacks in Paris last November, but he thinks that lives could be saved if more people had weapons with them.

Quot; All that the shooting has stopped were the bravest people I've ever seen, which ended with their weapons and risked their own lives to the massacre, Hughes said, according to AFP.

Quot; I know that people will not agree with me, but thanks to these weapons they could do battle on equal terms, says the singer. Quot; I hate that it should be so, but until there are no more weapons, everyone must have them. Quot;

Hughes, a member of the American gun lobby National Rifle Association, said earlier that he would never go anywhere without a weapon in his home country. Quot; I'm not paranoid, I'm not a cowboy. I just want to be well prepared. Quot;

The Eagles of Death Metal return Tuesday night back on stage in Paris, three months after the attack at the Bataclan theater. The American garage rock band performs in famous Olympia, surrounded by soldiers, police and psychologists. Survivors of the horrific attack are admitted free. The Bataclan reopens probably until the end of this year its doors for performances.
