Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey (67) deceased

- Glenn Frey, co-founder and guitarist for the Eagles is deceased at the age of 67, US media reported Monday.


         Frey was recovering from a surgery he had undergone in November. Due to complications, his condition deteriorated in recent days. He died in New York.
Glenn was co-author and singer of most of Eagles hits, including Take it Easy, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin Eyes and Heartache Tonight. With Don Henley he wrote Hotel California and Desperado. With the band he received six Grammy Awards.
After the Eagles in 1980 broke up, Glenn had a successful solo career. He scored numerous hits, including The Heat is On and You belong to the City.
