Dutch Filmworks wants to find downloaders

amsterdam - Film distributor Dutch Filmworks wants to detect illegal uploaders and downloaders. The company has submitted a plan to the Personal Data Authority. The supervisor intends to grant permission, according to a privacy guard dog's document. Stakeholders can comment on this decision until August 25th.

Dutch Filmworks intends to locate only Dutch IP addresses that are used to retrieve illegal movies from the company via torrentsites. The company wants to work for it as an independent organization. After that, a warning or penalty may be followed.

Stichting Brein has been working for internet piracy for a long time. The foundation focuses on uploaders, however.
