Drone saves shrimps from corners

winterswijk - In the vicinity of Winterswijk, over the past few years, 34 reckays could be saved thanks to a drone. Because the animals are hidden in the grass, farmers who have to mow the young ravens are often overlooked. The calves therefore come between the blades of the mowers.

In order to prevent the death of the animals, a drone was used from 5 May to 1 July in Winterswijk with a heat camera to locate the reekalves. Seventy meadows were searched with the drone: 34 calves were detected that could be reunited with their mother before mowing.
