Dozens of turtles trace in Thailand
- It is a puzzle where 78 turtles have been a breeding center for water birds in Thailand. The rare turtles are worth $ 85,000. The director of the center has been dismissed because of possible involvement.
There must be intent in the game, the new director announces Bangkok Post. It involves two turtle species, namely 6 Madagascar tortoises (Astrochelys yniphora) rays and 72 turtles (Astrochelys radiata). Both species are even threatened with extinction.
In early May the theft came to light when Pangpra Waterbird Research Center. The former head of the center, Songklod Phuthong, is suspected of theft and was fired. The center conducts research into the stolen tortoises.
