Dozens of people are killed by East-Ghouta attacks

beirut - Due to the ongoing bombing and artillery bombardments on insurgents in East Ghouta, 71 people lost their lives in 24 hours. There were also 325 wounded. That is what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Monday.

Army troops of the Assad government carried out the attacks on the enclave east of Damascus. The rebels responded with mortar fire to the Syrian capital, causing a child to be killed and seven people injured according to local media.

East Ghouta, one of the last strongholds of opponents of President Bashar al-Assad, has been besieged since 2013. According to the UN, almost 400,000 people live in the area.
