Dozens of deaths by train disaster Congo

kinshasa - A train accident in the province of Lualaba in south-east of the Congo has cost a total of 34 people on Sunday. The train, which mainly transported goods and fuel but also a number of passengers, drove down and slowed down. Tank wagons with gasoline cracked open and eleven of the thirteen cars flared, according to Radio Okapi.

Dozens of people got injured. Many of them had severe burns. The train was on the way from Lubumbashi to Luena. The governor of the province of Lualaba, Richard Muyej, spoke of 'a terrible disaster. '
