Dozens of casualties in a fire in Duisburg

- At a large fire in an apartment building in the northern German city of Duisburg on Tuesday dozens of casualties.

A child and an adult were killed and there were 28 people wounded of whom three life-threatening, according to the local fire brigade.

The fire broke out on the ground floor and spread rapidly to the roof of the four-storey building. After damp down is an investigation into the cause.
