'Dog recognize dangerous explosive not '

hamburg - When a test has shown with sniffer dogs in Germany that the animals do not recognize a very dangerous explosive. It involves acetone peroxide (TATP), a substance that is also used in the attacks in Paris on 13 November. It reports the magazine Der Spiegel Saturday based on confidential police information.

TATP, nicknamed 'Mother of Satan', is highly explosive. The substance may explode due to heat, friction, shock and static electricity. TATP is popular with terrorists, partly because it is easy to make yourself.

Experts say in Der Spiegel that the sniffer dogs immediately should be trained to recognize the substance. The police do not respond safety reasons.
