'Do not reward Kim just because he talks'

singapore - The Japanese Defense Minister, Itsunori Onodera, has said that his country considers it important that North Korea is not rewarded just for the country's agreement to a dialogue with foreign countries. Onodera stressed that the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un must also take concrete action by dismantling nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles with atomic charge.

Onodera said in Singapore that the agreements on arms reduction between North Korea and other countries in the past have only made the North Koreans stronger and thereby increased the country's nuclear arsenal.

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is expected to meet US President Donald Trump in Singapore on June 12th for a historic meeting between the two countries.
