falls church (afn/bloomberg) - The American defense group General Dynamics is taking over € 9.6 billion (7.8 billion euros) from IT service provider CSRA to strengthen its IT activities.

CSRA is a major provider of IT services for the US government, including cyber security and data processing.

A debt of 2.8 billion dollars was processed in the acquisition sum. The transaction must be completed in the first half of this year. CSRA provides services to various federal government services such as the army, healthcare and intelligence services, as well as to tech companies such as Microsoft and Salesforce. CSRA, like General Dynamics, is located in Falls Church, Virginia, has an annual turnover of $ 5 billion and has more than 18,000 employees.

General Dynamics is a manufacturer of, among other things, Abrams tanks and Gulfstream business aircraft.
