- It usually bone-dry and sweltering Death Valley is blooming. Thousands of tourists come here especially for the largest flower explosion since 2005 to the area. The sand-colored stone has given way to the yellow, white, purple and pink flowers.

The bloom may be caused by the natural phenomenon El NiƱo. Due to the heavy rain in October would seeds that are activated for years 'unemployed' in the soil. The right amount of rain and heat in the months that followed did the rest of the work.

The Americans call the phenomenon 'super bloom', the yellow flower has been given the name 'Wednesdays travertine gold. Death Valley is the hottest and driest place in North America. Many tourists take the notorious desert in their itinerary when they make a road trip through the USA.
