Death toll rises after collapsing flat Taiwan

- Five days after the collapse of an apartment in the Taiwanese city of Tainan, the number of deaths increased to 67. The local media reported. Certainly 57 others are missing, but the chance that one of them is taken alive from the rubble, is small.

Thursday was also searched for victims among the remains of the sixteen-storey building that collapsed Saturday by an earthquake. The authorities believe that shoddy construction has contributed to the collapse. Other buildings remained standing during the quake with a magnitude of 6.4.

Three former executives of the now defunct construction company stuck.
