Death toll attack India increased

World January 3, 2016 10:42

pathankot - The death toll from an attack on an air base in northern India has risen to at least ten. The base is Sunday after fifteen hours of fighting released.

Six Indians were killed in the maximum security Pathankot air base in the state of Punjab. Also, four militants were killed. They attacked the base on Saturday dressed as soldiers.
The attackers presumably came from Pakistan, a week after the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi had made a surprise visit to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif. The relationship between the two countries is still extremely difficult, although lately there are tentative overtures to be done.
