Death penalty for 'Grim Sleeper'

- An American serial killer has been given for the killings of at least nine women and a teenage girl's death.

Lonnie David Franklin was sentenced earlier this year for the ten murders. During the trial were another five murders attributed to him. Researchers even think that he has brought to life a total of 25 women.

Franklin came in 2010 as the top suspect in a series of murders in the seventies and eighties through new DNA techniques. Because so much time between the murders, he has been nicknamed the 'grim sleeper' ('grim sleeper'). His victims were mostly young black women in downtown Los Angeles. He strangled them or shot them dead and she left in alleyways.
