The dam Xepian-Xe Nam Noy, still under construction, collapsed on 23 July. As a result, a water mass of about 5 billion cubic liters hit six villages. Almost a hundred people are still missing. Rescue workers say that the deep layer of mud that is left behind in the area makes the salvage activities more difficult.
