Deadly shooting live on Facebook

chicago - A shooting in Chicago in which a boy of two and a 26-year-old man died, was broadcast live on Facebook. A pregnant woman was shot in her abdomen.

The three were taken under fire Tuesday when they with their cars through the neighborhood Lawndale reason.

In the car with the woman were her friend and the 2-year Lavontay White jr. They were both hit in the head. The boy was initially resuscitated, but died later in hospital. The man did not survive.

The 20-year-old woman, who is four months pregnant, was treated in hospital. It is expected that her baby survives.

The suspect remains at large but police are confident that they will catch him soon in the collar, police say at the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago is plagued lately by a wave of gun violence. Last weekend two girls were 11 and 12 hit in the head by shootings in which others were targeted. The 11-year-old girl died, the girl of 12 is still in critical condition in hospital.

Last year there were 762 murders in the city instead, largely caused by shootings between street gangs. This year holds the violence, with murders in January 51, the highest since January 1999.
