manila - The tropical storm Kai-Tak, which ravaged parts of the Philippines during the weekend, killed at least seventeen people. About thirty others are missing in the city of Naval, where landslides have occurred due to heavy rainfall.
The rain also caused considerable flooding. The authorities evacuated a total of more than 40,000 people as a precaution.
