Cuba gets thousands of doctors back from Brazil

havana - Cuba has announced that it will recover thousands of doctors from Brazil. This decision follows criticism from the upcoming Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who believes that the rights of the Cubans are being violated.

Cuba says that since 2013 some 20,000 Cuban doctors have worked in Brazil. They are often active in poor and remote parts of the country. Most of their salary flows to the Cuban state treasury. That is against the sore leg of the right-wing populist Bolsonaro, who will act as president next year.
