Criminal punishment for Swiss revival

World July 5, 2017 16:54

basel - A court in the Swiss Basel sentenced a 44-year-old collector to a prison sentence on Wednesday because he had robbed feathers of prey birds in museums in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The man received three years imprisonment, two of which were conditional.

The Swiss was addicted to the collection and wanted to collect a collection of all birds of prey in the world. During his robbery, he damaged 167 preparations in eight museums, resulting in a huge damage. The museums estimate that at 5.5 million euros.

The man told the museums that he did research as an amateur scientist. They trusted him and left him alone in sheltered birds of prey that were normally closed to the public. The man then pulled feathers out of the preparations and sometimes even broke a whole wing. He is being treated for his addiction.
