CPB: Government must respond more quickly to IT
- Governments must respond quickly to ICT developments in the market. Now they wait too many rules and policies to more clearly about the new technology and its development in the market. At a later moment come with rules, however, is often more difficult and also more expensive. This is contained in a report of the Central Planning.
ICT plays a central role in the economy: the biggest companies are ICT companies and ICT is increasingly used. It enables new applications, such as platforms and robots. But the 'Internet of Things', where for example, machinery, automobiles, thermostats, traffic systems and refrigerator are online.
New technologies change the economy. At the same time they bring risks to public interests with them, the CPB sets example for safety and reliability.
